The first edition of this book was printed in 1990.  This is the eighth edition of the book and includes everything “Eagle” through 2015. This is the 2017 edition with more color and more information on the Eldred Eagle journey.

The book contains historical information, research data, checklists and over 250 black and white photographs and illustrations with great close up detail. There are 213 pages in an 8 ½” x 11” format.

Did you know The Eagle Scout Award started out as the Silver Wolf in 1910?  The complete story of the evolution of the Eagle Scout Award is shared starting with Baden-Powell's conversations with Ernest Thompson Seton until James E. West made the decision to use the Eagle as the symbol for Scouting's highest achievement.

There is a listing of all the merit badges required and optionally required for the Eagle award from 1910 to 2012.
